Motorola is expected to unveil new versions of the Moto G and Moto X on Tuesday, but the company could have a few more surprises up its sleeve. According to gadget leaker Evan Blass, the firm might reveal at least three extra products at its big event.
First let’s tackle the DROID MAXX II, which seems like a pretty obvious successor to the DROID MAXX (pictured above). The original handset, released last July, featured a 3500mAh battery along with a 5-inch 720p display, a 10-megapixel rear camera and 2GB of RAM. We’re guessing the long-awaited sequel will offer an even bigger battery along with upgraded specs across the board.
Moving along, these other two products are a bit more of a mystery. Moto X Play sounds like it’s connected to Motorola’s flagship phone. That could mean anything from a new service or app to a gaming controller case. It might even be a new variant of the handset entirely.
As for the Moto Surround, the name suggests something related to sound. Maybe this is the official name for the new Moto Hint that popped up at Best Buy last week. Surround might also imply a new Bluetooth speaker.
We don’t have to wait long to find out whatever Motorola is planning; the company is all set to reveal its new family on Tuesday, and we’ll be covering the event live from New York.
