Pro version includes preset power modes which can be customized!
Plenty of monitors and stats about battery!
Du Battery Saver can help you maximize your battery life by assisting in reducing or eliminating several factors that may cause unnecessary drain. The first screen youíre greeted with is a convenient summary of how much charge time your device has left, along side an "Optimize" button. Pressing it causes the app to scan for ways to squeeze out more juice. In my tests Iíve been quoted up to 33% savings. It recommends things like stopping some apps from running in the background; in addition to other common techniques like decreasing screen brightness, screen timeout, disabling WiFi, GPS and even mobile data. Other monitors include battery type, voltage, temperature and a graph of battery consumption over time.
Under the Save tab you get to take advantage preset modes:
Long mode sets screen brightness to 10%, screen timeout to 15 seconds, and disables vibration, haptic feedback, WiFi, Bluetooth, mobile data and sync. This mode kicks in as your device dips under 20% power.
General mode sets screen brightness to auto, screen timeout to 30 seconds, and disables sync.
Sleep mode sets screen brightness to 10%, screen timeout to 15 seconds, and disables sync.
My Mode is your default settings which can be configured to your liking, or add new modes.
The Pro version allows for "Smart" settings such as scheduling power modes that activate at a certain battery percentage (similar to the Power saving mode on the Galaxy S4), a certain time, or automatically clear background apps by set time intervals.
The Charge tab presents some helpful tidbits about device charging and I value the feature that tells approximately how long until a full charge. It even has a nifty calendar to monitor charge results should you care. The Monitor tab houses all running apps with quick task killer options plus hardware monitors; CPU, Screen, Cellular Radio, WiFi and Sensors. For root users the CPU speeds can be throttled lower when device is locked (though it could affect performance).
Du Battery Saver is a highly useful app for saving and optimizing battery life on our power guzzling phones.
Ease of Use:
It is quite easy to use whether passively or actively. It just works on its own to save as much juice as possible or you can jump in and fine tune or optimize as needed.
The app essentially works for you in the background all the time.
The user interface is very slick and well designed.

Should you Download Du Battery Saver & Switch Widget? Du Battery Saver is chock full of settings, configurations, widgets and even notification status bars for keeping an eye on battery. The free version offers a lot of features, however, if your phone is not equipped with automated power saver modes like the Samsung Galaxy S4 then I recommend upgrading to the Pro version.
