This one caught me off guard this morning when I saw PlayBook Daily had noticed Rock ‘n’ Roll Game Studio’s Dummy Jake game had hit the very sweet spot, a FREE price tag! Likely for a limited time, as this one surely deserves the few bucks it cost a couple days ago.
I picked up Dummy Jake a little over a week back myself and haven’t put it down even long enough even to do it the justice of a review. With a bit of a learning curve, some users might get discouraged at first. But a little perseverance and you’ll hitting “play again & again & again” in no time.
° 3D graphics
° Gyroscopic controls & touch controls
° 4 different power ups to grab
° Social feature [Scoreloop]
° Achievements & leaderboard
Right the dummy robot on the homescreen grabbed me by nerdies and talked me into a game. The point? Fall and fall fast because your homie Jake is quickly running out of battery juice much like your smartphone!
You twist and turn your PlayBook to keep Jake on his toes. There’s rings-of-fire, ice blocks (blast em only while using nitro), more battery packs, bolts and more! You’ll want to collect everything you can. The more you move the better your chance of the next check point actually is.
The top of your screen has two buttons: Maneuver and Nitro. Get used to these buttons because they will make or break you in the end. Falling obstacles are your second enemy [time is the first], don’t think you can just skate by shooting it down the middle. You’ll have to wiggle it- just a lil bit!
Dummy Jake is normally a premium priced game, the limited FREE price tag won’t last forever. Grab your copy now, or end up paying for it like I did.
