We’ve shown you a few ways that your Android can do anything an iPhone can do – which I like to think of as “anything your iPhone can do, my Andy can do better”. Now, you can even make your Andy’s screen look just like the plain little boxes of the iOS.
Espier Launcher supports dynamic updates – placing numeric indicators on icons for messages received and other updates. You can also create “folders” – groupings of icons – similar to the iPhone. Some Live Wallpapers like Bubbleator still work behind the new iPhone-esque look of the home screens.
Generally, I’d put this app into the “why would you want to” category – but for an AndroidGal like me, it’s been fun to fake out a few of my friends who see the iPhone-like screen and think I’ve finally gone over to the dark side. Luckily though, a quick click of the Home Screen or a visit to your devices settings lets you go back to the fully customizable Android desktop or your favorite Launcher.
