Evernote rolled out its iOS 7 app update this week adding a very cool feature called Places, which lets users see their notes placed on a map.
This new feature is a very cool tool for writers. It can be used for journalists to take notes while reporting from location. It can be a way for a novelist to plot out locations and characters within the pages of a book. It can also be used for travel writers to make notes of the places they visited along the way of a journey.
To make it work, you geotag your notes and photos by location and they will be plotted onto the map. These notes are even searchable, so when it comes time to write, you can refer to your map of notes.
