In really exciting news we’ve heard so far, Taiwanese supply chain folks suspect that Apple could be making big announcements about iPhone 5 and launch iPad Mini this September.
Brain White, the leading analyst at Topeka Capital, who is on a visit to Taipei for the Computex conference, has revealed in a private note circulated amongst investors, that Apple could be planning an announcement of iPhone 5 release date and features in September this year. Not just that, but the 7.85-inch iPad Mini release date could very well fall in September too.
In a report, Apple Insider states that White spoke to his contacts in the supply chain industry who revealed their suspicion that Apple could be on to something big during September this year – and in all likelihood they include iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
Reports of the 7.85-inch iPad Mini had surfaced long back and iPhoneStuffs4u covered a lot on the iPad Mini. The iPad Mini features included a smaller display – one that has long been rumored to be around 7.85” – featuring a 1024×768 px display. This resolution will put the iPad Mini in the Retina Display category and will make sure apps designed for iPad original and iPad 2 will run smoothly on it.
The other highlight of the note is the iPhone 5.
Rumors arising out of supply chain have a 50-50 hit or miss chance. But it seems quite likely that Apple could make announcements regarding iPhone 5 features in September, especially considering all the schematic and part leakages that have already happened.
We’re still scouring for more confirmation on this through other sources. While we’re at it, you might want to take a look at iPad Mini rumored features or share a thought or two about the mini iPad device in the comments.
