Facebook for BlackBerry by Research In Motion has been such a pleasure to use now for so long, I think people are finally starting to forgive RIM for the first couple years. It took only a short time with the testers at their BlackBerry Beta Zone to turn Facebook upside-right.
The latest update to Facebook for BlackBerry actually addresses a pesky bug that would randomly signs users out of the app. I actually reported this bug and started the original thread for it in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Same issue carried from my 9650 to 9930.
Facebook for BlackBerry v188.8.131.52 bug fixes [as seen above]:
° Fixed a logout issue that some users were experiencing
° Fixed a bug that caused the device to freeze upon receiving a notification
° Disabled the default synchronization settings
It’s taken me a while, but I’m happy to report that I’m using Facebook 10x more now than I was 2 years ago. The way I see it, this is thanks mostly in part to the dev team RIM has building the app now. It takes some conviction to get back into using a social community like Facebook sure. Although the new seamless function, attractive user interface, easier picture uploads, Facebook chat, Wifi options and much more don’t do it any harm now do they!
If you haven’t caught on yet. Do yourself a favor and head over to BlackBerry App World to get yourself some fb! Tag some photos, like some posts, or just flat out complain to everyone because you can. Remember it’s always Free.
