This week, Samsung took the wraps off of the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in Barcelona. They also announced that pre-orders were starting this week with the two devices being in-store on March 11th in over 60 countries. Case and accessory manufacturers have been hard at work making cases and accessories for these two devices and many of them are already available. Let’s take a look at the top 10 best cases for the Galaxy S7.
Spigen Tough Armor
The Tough Armor here from Spigen has a raised lip, around 0.2mm thick, to protect the display of the Galaxy S7. Which DisplayMate says is the best display on any smartphone right now. Spigen has two layers with this case, there’s a soft layer that protects the glass on the Galaxy S7, then there’s a tough shell for the outside which will protect it from drops and such. It’s available in a few colors, although it will mostly hide the color of the Galaxy S7 you bought.
Here’s another one from Spigen. This is their Rugged Armor case which is also made to protect your Galaxy S7 from being dropped. It’s a flexible TPU case, but also looks pretty darn good on the Galaxy S7. It also includes tactile buttons, so you’re still able to press the buttons on the side for volume and power without any issues. Spigen touts that the air cushion technology here is military grade as well.
We’ve reviewed the Affinity Series for the Nexus 6P already, and this is the exact same case, just made for the Galaxy S7. The Poetic Affinity is a plastic clear case allowing you to still show off the beauty of your new Samsung Galaxy S7. It does also feature a lip that covers the front of the device. This is to protect that display from getting scratched or damaged in any way.
As the name states, this is a slim case from Obliq, it also has the brushed metal look and feel which looks really great on the Galaxy S7. Even though the Galaxy S7 has a glass back, Obliq’s Slim Meta case has a soft interior to keep from scratching that glass on the Galaxy S7. It’s available in gold, silver and black, to match the color of the Galaxy S7 as well. Always a nice touch, Obliq also has it available in rose gold.
Caseology has a few different cases available for the Galaxy S7. The Envoy Series is made with leather on the back. Not only giving you some grip for the Galaxy S7, but also some added style. They have a few different color leathers, as well as a black carbon fiber back that looks quite nice as well. The Envoy Series from Caseology does cover all sides of the Galaxy S7, so you won’t have to worry about it getting damaged.
Those that might want a bit more protection for their Galaxy S7, Poetic has a good case here in the Revolution Series. The case has a built-in screen protector which will help you keep the Galaxy S7 safe as well as keep from getting the display scratched up. It’s not water-proof, but the Galaxy S7 is, so that isn’t an issue anyways. It’s a bit of an ugly case, but at least you’ll be able to keep your smartphone safe.
The Vault Series here from Caseology is another great case to pick up. It’s made TPU and polycarbonate, making it a great one for protecting your smartphone. Additionally it’s available in a few different colors and designs, so you can pick one up that really fits your style. It is compatible with all variants of the Galaxy S7 as well.
We reviewed the Candyshell case for the Galaxy S6 last year, and here we have the exact same case but for the Galaxy S7. It’s a great case to pick up as it adds some much needed grip to the Galaxy S7. Something that is desperately needed when you have a glass back like the Galaxy S7. Speck also offers the Candyshell case in a ton of colors and designs.
Here we have Verus, now named VRS, High Pro Shield case. This is a thin case for the Galaxy S7 that protects all sides of the device. It’s available in a few different colors, although our favorite is likely the satin silver, especially with the titanium silver Galaxy S7 that’s coming out. This is a great one to pick up to protect your Galaxy S7, and it’s pretty cheap.
If a wallet folio case made of faux leather is more your style, then VRS has one here for you in the Layered Dandy. This one is a wallet folio case with a few slots inside the the case for storing cards, cash and even your driver’s license. We also have a built-in stand for standing the Galaxy S7 on its side and watching video. Especially helpful when traveling.
