When I was younger I remember always forgetting that it was actually April Fools and being on the receiving end of one too many jokes. It wasn’t, for the most part, too bad, and was always done with good intentions. I think though, that after the age of thirteen my friends and I must have outgrown April Fools and it ceased to be truly hilarious as it once was.
Now though, with the glorious understanding that there really is an app for just about anything, the magic has come back with full force to this fun day and I’m finally the one able to catch my friends unexpectedly. This year, we’ve decided to round up our favorite apps that are most fun to be used on April Fools, but feel free to continue using them well past Tuesday.
Prank Your Friends Scare App
One of the funniest and literally, scariest ways to prank your friends is with this app. I think I managed to even scare myself when I was trying it out. Invite your friends to take a look at a picture on your phone or play a game, then sit back and watch as they get the wind knocked out of them when an epically scary picture jumps on the screen. You can choose between three pictures and sounds to have some fun with. This is my top choice for scare apps.
If you love Nicholas Cage as much as we do then you’ll love Cage Me. Install this and watch our National Treasure’s (pun totally intended) face spin on the screen at a random time, over any app for between 30 and 160 seconds. Not only will the level of frustration that someone will feel in the middle of their precious Candy Crush be amusing to watch, but the simplicity and the shear hilariousness of this app is the perfect surprise for anyone on this day or quite frankly, any day of the year. This is my top choice for meme-inspired jokes.
Some things, no matter how old you get, never really get old, and I happen to think that the Whoopee Cushion is one of them. This Whopee Cushion has come a long way from the original rubber pillow you couldn't wait for your friend to sit on. The app version has the ability to go off with the sound of your voice and be timed to perfection. Highly recommended for the young and the young at heart.
Do you want to watch your friends jump? Do you want to give a fright to someone who’s least expecting it? Air Horn is simple and genius, just like I like my pranks to be. When you’re sitting around and it’s relatively quiet, sound the alarm! It’s loud, obnoxious and will definitely make your friends jump. A word to the wise - I definitely wouldn’t recommend using this app on those with heart irregularities!
Some people are naturally talented and creative at pulling pranks. Here to pick up for those of us who are not those people, the good folks here put together a full list of genuinely funny things to pull on those you love. An example, that I personally can't wait to try is to challenge a friend that they can’t balance a glass of water (or beer or wine) on the back of their two hands, with their palms on a table. When they’re all settled in, conveniently walk out of the room so they’re stuck and have to spill the good stuff everywhere. Hilarity ensues.
