Samsung, along with its partners are hell bent on bringing the 5G network connection to life by the year 2020. The recent trials indicate that the data connection speed will increase 100 folds and your smartphone will have a real world speed of 2 Gbps. That is like downloading a Blu-ray movie in under a minute.
Most of the developed countries rely on the 4G LTE connections for their smartphones and data connections needs. The underdeveloped countries still have 3g networks as the dominant force. But 5G could change the way devices are used. Yes, the cost is high but with high adoption rate, it could become affordable within an year and developing countries can skip the 4G LTE and adopt the 5G for blazing fast internet. With such connectivity, many opportunities open up.
Japan’s NTT DoCoMo has recently conducted the 5G trials and attained much success with help of Samsung, Huawei, nokia, ericsson and fujitsu. The companies are with a hope that they could launch the first commercially available 5G network by the time of Tokyo Olympics. During the trial phase, the companies were able to focus the beam onto the device so that maximum data speed could be made possible. The technologies called as beam forming and beam tracking technology made this feat possible.
A minimum speed of 2 Gbps was achieved when the device was stationary. Samsung revealed that it conducted an experiment and the phone were travelling at a speed of 60 Kmph. In this experiment, the attained speed exceeded 2.5 Gbps.
Well, get ready for a future where data transfer speed will not be a limitation for the growth of your business.
