Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch free apps daily include a photo app, task manager, audio relaxation app, and physics puzzler. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
FocusTwist ($1.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: The app lets you capture photos that can be refocused later on, and this idea has been previously reserved for the $400 Lytro camera. Now, you can have that functionality on your iPhone, minus the ability to shift perspective that comes with the Lytro camera. FocusTwist works best with an object in the foreground that is 3-5 inches away from the camera, and any other object in the foreground. You can truly appreciate FocusTwist with multiple elements to focus on, all at different depths.
Check Check ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A task manager app that focuses on on making, and clearing to-do lists. There’s a minimalistic design that emphasizes what you need to get done, and you can also reuse lists by resetting all items that were marked as complete. There’s also iCloud support for task syncing.
SoundShade ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): An audio relaxation and concentration app that provides 26 pleasant sounds to listen to. You can choose to listen to pre-set templates of particular sound combinations, or customize your own. The app also supports binaural surround sound for 360 degree playback that also delivers volume and distance, all when using headphones.
Got Cow? ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A physics puzzle game set in space, that is a bit like Angry Birds Space. You launch rockets to hit all of the UFOs on screen, and use the gravitational pull of various planets to hit the UFOs in one shot, and avoid the cows.
