Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch free apps daily include a baseball simulation game, text editor, PDF editor, and arcade football game. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
iOOTP Baseball 2014 Edition ($4.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: a mobile friendly version of the baseball management simulation game putting you in control of your favorite team. Rather than playing ball, your main play time revolves around being the general manager to offer extensions, sign free agents, pull off trades, complete the amateur player draft, and promote players from the minors. The computer can assist you with any of the tasks, but the game gives you the full ability to manage every aspect of your team, in its complete form on your iOS device with all authentic teams, including specific past seasons.
Writebox ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A streamlined text editor made for touch with a full screen writing experience. The app also lets you customize the font size, type, and color, background color, and keyboard color. There’s also a syncing option, as well as keyboard extension with left/right text navigation.
Easy Annotate – Dual PDF Editor ($4.99 -> Free, iPad): The app lets you bring up two PDFs on a single screen, so that you can read, annotate, and compare both at the same time. Easy annotate supports all forms of annotation as well as bookmarks and notes. You can also link PDFs, export, and share.
NFL Kicker 15 ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): The NFL kicking mini-game is back for the new NFL season, and the 13 version is a lot like the original, but with enhanced graphics, refined controls, and new IAP options. When you start the game, you can play as any one of the 32 NFL teams with your name on the back of your favorite team’s jersey, and then kick field goals and punt the ball. The game features three game modes with consecutive field goals, coffin corner punting, and time based field goals.
