Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch free apps daily include a music player app, creative workspace, calendar app, and combat game. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
Loud ($2.99 -> Free, iPhone): A music player app that offers an alternative to the stock music app with a clean interface allowing for intuitive browsing and control of your music. There’s a minimalistic approach that still finds time to present all of your music in different ways with distinct artwork. The app also connects to Last.fm to scrobble your songs to the service.
Grid ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A creative workspace allowing you to keep track of your ideas by adding notes, images, animations, comments, and more. Each item you add is turned into a tile, and the app supports stacks allowing you stack tiles on top of one another in one workspace to have a boundless area to collect your thoughts. There’s also cloud syncing that allows for collaboration with others.
LightArrow My.Agenda ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A powerful calendar app that supports unified views for all calendars, appointments, todo lists, checklists, tasks, and reminders. There are eight different agenda views to choose from with color coded items on the main view to see how your day is presented, and what you need to do. The app really shines when you have a lot to do, and want to keep track of with the app.
Heavy Blade ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A 3D hack and slash dungeon crawler with a first person perspective allowing you to be up close and personal with ornate enemies. There are 30 dungeons to explore filled with enemies, loots, and weapons. The game is all about visceral action with big weapons at your disposal.
