The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active from AT&T has leaked yet again, this time by a tipster who seems to have access to the handset. The images give us a closer look of the back and the front of the smartphone, showing a sturdy exterior with the standard AT&T logo and the Galaxy S6 Active moniker printed on the back. The font used here is identical to the markings on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Active, so we can confirm that this is indeed legitimate.
This image also confirms the alignment of the physical buttons on the front, further telling us that there won’t be a fingerprint scanner on the device. The heart rate monitor will be available on the back with the speaker grille relocated on the back while the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge have it at the bottom next to the micro USB port.
In addition to this sturdy exterior, the smartphone is expected to pack a significantly larger 3,500 mAh battery pack inside while retaining the 5.1 inch Quad HD display, the Exynos 7420 SoC, the 16-megapixel camera on the back and 3GB of RAM with Android 5.0 Lollipop. There’s no word on the storage variants as of yet, but it is likely that Samsung and AT&T will only offer one storage variant of the device, possibly 64GB. The smartphone is said to break cover with the model number SM-G890A.
