Mobile game developer Milkbag Games is taking the next step on their game development journey and moving forward to consoles games. The duo of Owen Goss and Matt Rix are now working on a futuristic stunt racer, appropriately titled FutureGrind, and have announced that it will be coming to PlayStation 4.
FutureGrind puts players on a 2D track along a 3D environment and tasks them with grinding along rails for points. The rails are color-coded, so the blue wheel must grind on the blue track, while the red wheel must grind on the red track. Mismatch them and disaster happens. Players can catch big air and perform stunts along the way, just as long as they land the right wheel on the right track.
"Survival is important in FutureGrind, but it's really just the baseline. In order to succeed, you’ll need to get good at doing chains of tricks," Goss said on PlayStation.Blog. "Points are awarded to you based on how you grind on the rails. Balance on top of a rail for a Manual. Boost up into the bottom of a rail for an Undergrind. Dangle from the top of a rail for a Hanger, and so on. Rack up long grinds to increase your score. Do flips in the air for big points. Transfer between rails flawlessly to build your chain multiplier. Only skilled players will earn endorsements from The Sponsors and progress through the game."
A release date has not been issued for FutureGrind on PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, a PC version of the game has been posted on Steam Greenlight for anyone interested in bringing this game to their PC.
