Samsung announces Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartpones today, it’s slimmest smartphones till date. Both phones ditched Samsung’s traditional plastic frame and adapted metallic frames.
Galaxy A5 is 6.7 mm and Galaxy A3 is 6.7 mm thin and both come with 5 mega-pixel front end camera. This is a good move as more and more people are using their phones for taking selfies. Galaxy A5 have better specs when compared to Galaxy A3.
Galaxy A5 features a five-inch screen, 2GB RAM, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and 15-megapixel camera on the back. At the same time Galaxy A3 which is the smaller sibling sports a smaller 4.5-inch screen, with the same processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel camera. Both run Android KitKat (4.4) and include support for 4G networks and a slot for Micro-SD memory cards.
There’s 5 colors too: Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold.

Samsung’s new phone announcement came at a time when the Korean technology giant is suffering from loss of profit due to stiff competition both at high-end and budget smartphone market. Hope these new phones will help Samsung to gain more market share and put it back in the track.
It looks like Samsung’s new phones will launch in Asian market first and they will be release other markets after that.
