Samsung Galaxy A8 (SM-A800F) started to receive the September security patches. Samsung already pushed these changes to some of the other smartphones including the Galaxy S5, S6 and S7 in Europe and T-Mobile variants in the US.
The patch is based on Android Marshmallow and is just available for India users at the moment.
The update is about 295 MB and apart from better security it will bring improvements in call, performance and memory management. Along with that, Samsung says the patch can improve the phone’s battery life as well.
