Samsung has been preparing yet another of its same pinch phones and it is being called as the Galaxy j1 Ace Neo. This is a phone that is being targeted for the consumers in the sub $100 price category. The details about the phone are being shown on the Samsung website in south Africa. But the pricing information or the availability is yet unknown.
According to the website, the phone comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 480×800 pixels. This may seem paltry but given the size of the display, the resolution should be fine in handling the real estate available. Most of the phones have moved to the above 5.0-inch category but this phone is to cater people who still love a small screen that can be handled with one hand.
The performance side offers little excitement, though. The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The disappointing news is that in the age of Android Nougat, this phone is preloaded with Android 5.1 (lollipop) and I am pretty sure it will stay on this version forever.
There is a 5 MP camera on the back and a 2 MP camera for the selfies and video calling. The battery capacity is at 1900 mAh and is removable. This should power the device for a long time given the low-powered specs.
The dimensions are 130.1×67.6×9.5mm and weigh just 131g. that’s light.
On the connectivity side, the phone has 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ Glonass, and Micro-USB.
J1 Ace Neo comes in three colors. Black, blue and white.
