If Samsung’s massive 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega still isn’t big enough for you we have some good news. The company is apparently planning to release a 7-inch handset called the Galaxy W, at least according to a leaked brochure for the device obtained by SamMobile.
The alleged Galaxy W looks like standard Samsung smartphone, and will apparently sport the same faux-leather design featured on the Galaxy Note 3. SamMobile reports that the device is expected to offer a 720p display, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage with microSD support, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The 7-inch handset would apparently run Android 4.3 with a special “Phoneblet UX” that lets you split the screen and run two apps at once.
Samsung’s Galaxy Mega series never offered the most impressive specs, instead opting to offer massive displays at mid-range prices. It looks like that won’t change with the 7-inch Galaxy W, which is apparently set to launch in South Korea as an SK Telecom exclusive. There isn’t any indication that this will make its way back to the U.S., but we’ll let you know if that changes.
