Samsung released it’s latest flagship Galaxy Note 4 in India today. The new flagship will be available long side the new Gear S smartwatch.
Smasung showcased a bunch of devices last month at IFA Berlin 2014, which includes Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note edge, Gear S smartwatch and Galaxy VR.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 release is also well timed as it is available 2 days earlier than Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
India Galaxy Note 4 models will feature a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, 1.9GHz Octa Core processor, 16 mega pixel camera with optical image stabilization, 3.7 mega pixel front facing camera, 3GB RAM, 32GB Internal memory and a huge 3220mAh fast charging battery.
On connectivity side the phone will have LE radio connectivity, WiFi, Download Booster, NFC and Bluetooth v 4.1.

Commenting at the launch, Asim Warsi, VP, mobile and IT, Samsung India, said, “The new device exhibits people inspired innovation with its unique combination of an enhanced S Pen, large and vivid display and superior productivity features to provide the most refined Galaxy experience to our customers.”
Samsung also launched Gear S with a price tag of Rs 28,900. Which is quite expensive. The smartwatch will have WiFi and 3G connectivity. Though this is a good feature, but we are not quite sure about its usability.
Gear S is equipped with various sensors which includes heart rate monitor, gyroscope, barometer and UV sensor. It conforms to IP-67 standards, meaning that it can withstand being dropped in up to 1 meter of water for a period of 30 minutes and is also resistant to dust. It accepts voice commands as well as text input via the on-screen keyboard.
About Gear S, Warsi said, “Samsung has significantly contributed to the wearable industry by taking the lead in offering unique smart wearables and the launch of Gear S will further set a new standard in the mobile communication space.”
Samsung did not announce anything about Galaxy Note edge Indian release date. Also, there is no information on Galaxy VR availability.
