Samsung went official with the Galaxy S5 back in February, earlier this year. Despite not doing well in the market, the phone was still praised by a substantial amount of praise by users who were looking for more than just a smart phone. After the official announcement, the rumours about the latest entry in the Note family started popping up, and till this very day, they’re going quite strong.
While everyone has their eyes set on LG’s upcoming G3 considering how the device is shaping up to be a tech giant. With LG G3 going official in three days or so, we still have no words about Samsung’s plan of going official with the Galaxy Note 4. Fortunately, an official announcement doesn’t really matter when you can get your hands on pretty much all the information about the phone ahead of the official announcement. Thanks to SamMobile, the most reliable source when it comes to Samsung devices, we’ve received a leak hinting towards the features that Samsung will be introducing in the Note 4. According to the source, Samsung is currently testing these features on the Galaxy S5 and are using Android 4.4.3 Kitkat as the testing base, this can also mean that Samsung is planning on releasing the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat for Galaxy S5.
The list of features that we got our hands on are quite interesting, while some of them might be familiar. The features are as followed; Swipe to launch Motion Launcher, Multi network booster, Aqua capture, and Smart fingerprint. Now let’s get into the details of these stated features. We’ve already seen a feature in the Galaxy S4 Active called Aqua Mode, the mode allowed the users to take pictures under water, this also leads us to believe that Galaxy Note 4 just might come with enhanced water and dust protection. If that happens, then the Note 4 will be the first device in the Note family to come with these protections. Next up is the multi network booster, this feature sounds like the Download Booster mode we’ve seen on the Galaxy S5, for those who don’t know what that is, the download booster mode allows the device to use both WiFi and your mobile internet data to fasten the download speeds for fast downloads.

Moving on to smart fingerprint feature, it seems like Samsung’s planning on giving more functionality to the fingerprint reader and will let you decide how you want the fingerprint reader to behave, we all know that the fingerprint reader in the Galaxy S5 was capable of doing both simple and complex tasks, but we just might see more functionality added this time. The last feature that was told is swipe to launch motion launcher, now this feature looks quite similar to the one you’ve witnessed in HTC One M8, on the M8, the feature lets you do several thing using gestures. It’s a handy little feature but we’re hoping Samsung adds more to it.
Despite having a reliable insider, the information can’t be trusted completely since we haven’t heard any official word from Samsung, but if it’s true, the Galaxy Note 4 will probably be a game changer. Let’s see when Samsung lifts the curtains, till then, stay tuned.
