Samsung showed us it was serious about design with the Galaxy S6. Now it’s taking that same style to new heights with the Galaxy Note 5. Is this new phablet just a super-sized version of the smaller flagship phone?
Let’s find out.
Beyond their size, there are a few key differences between the two phones when it comes to design. The Galaxy S6 features a totally flat style, while the Note 5’s back panel slopes in slightly on the left and right sides to fit comfortable in your palm. There’s also the S Pen, a Note exclusive that now ejects when you press down on it.
When it comes to hardware the two devices are actually pretty similar. Both feature an Exynos 7 processor, a Quad HD display, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter and Qi/PMA wireless charging. However the Galaxy Note 5 packs in an extra GB of RAM for 4GB total, along with a larger 5.7-inch screen.
Despite all these differences, it really comes down to size when you’re choosing between the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6. If you want a big phone go with the Note. If not, the S6 is probably a better choice. Still not convinced?
