The Wall Street Journal said on Friday that users with replacement Galaxy Note 7 units — the new one that isn’t a safety hazard — are reporting that the phones aren’t charging properly, sometimes actually losing power while plugged in.
Issues of overheating also appear to be surfacing, according to a local news station YTN. It’s unclear if this is widespread but is “completely unrelated to batteries,” Samsung told The Wall Street Journal. The overheating doesn’t appear to be a danger this time, either.
I haven’t noticed anything similar with my replacement here in the United States. Let’s hope this is simply an issue of “isolated cases,” as Samsung says, instead of another widespread problem.
