Update: It's the GN1 50-megapixel sensor after all.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE seems to be on its way, as a tipster claims it's "confirmed". This information comes from @Boby25846908, who shared the information via Twitter.
If you're confused about this name, this is the rumored Galaxy S20 Lite, it seems. The tipster also claims that the phone will feature a flagship processor, which is a bit surprising.
The Galaxy S20 FE is allegedly "confirmed", and it may include the Snapdragon 865
The Galaxy S20 FE may include the Snapdragon 865, not the Snapdragon 855 or 765G. Samsung allegedly sees this phone as a competitor to the OnePlus 8T which is expected to arrive in Q4.
The 'FE' in its name allegedly stands for 'Fan Edition', by the way. The tipster did share some more info about the device as well. He claims that the phone will include a flat fullHD+ display.
He did mention that Samsung's current plans are to include a 60Hz display, though that may change. If it intends to compete with the OnePlus 8T, the company will have to do better than that.
Super AMOLED display will be included inside of this phone, as will the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GD1 camera sensor. That will be the phone's main camera sensor, and we're looking at a 32-megapixel sensor here.
The tipster also mentioned the possible launch timeframe for this device. He claims that the Galaxy S20 FE will arrive in either September and October, he's still not sure.
As far as the design is concerned, this phone will probably look like the Galaxy S20 handsets. We're still not sure how large will its display be, but we're essentially expecting the Galaxy S20(+) design with a flat display.
The device will probably be made out of metal and glass, with as single display camera hole
The phone will be made out of metal and glass, and you'll get a single display camera hole here. Its back will be curved towards the sides, and multiple cameras will be included on the back.
It remains to be seen if this phone will include a side-facing fingerprint scanner, or an under-display one. Anything is possible at this point, we'll have to wait for more information.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, that's for sure. Samsung's One UI skin will be included on top of it, and the device will feature fast charging. Fast wireless charging will probably also be included.
There you have it. That is basically all information that we have on the device at this point in time. More information will probably surface soon, so stay tuned.
