Samsung confirms that its 4-inch Galaxy smartphone will launch this week
Samsung has confirmed that it will launch its Galaxy S3 Mini on Oct. 11. The smartphone maker is pretty much known for its larger handsets at this point – namely the Galaxy Note and the full-sized Galaxy S3 – but now it will cater to a crowd looking for something a little more compact.
Samsung's smaller Galaxy phone is slated for its big reveal during a press conference in Europe this Thursday. The confirmation reportedly came from JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile Communications.
As for the specs, the latest rumors point to a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution; a 1GHz dual-core processor; 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and a 399 Euro price tag excluding taxes and subsidies.
