Samsung and Sprint announce Galaxy S5 Sport, a robust smartphone for daily use. The phone is almost similar to Galaxy S5 Active which was earlier announced on several carriers. The main difference between Galaxy S5 Sport and Active is the back cover which has a different texture. This makes the phone easier to grip for regular use.
Feature wise the phone is same as S5 Active with 5.1-inch, 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, a 16-megapixel camera and a heart rate sensor. But the processor is clocked at 2.5 Ghz for S5 Sport. The phone has mechanical buttons which makes the phone easier to use when running.
S5 Sport is the first phone comes preloaded with Sprint’s Fit Live, an app for all your fitness need. It includes a year’s worth of Under Armour’s MapMyFitness MVP, which brings custom audio coaching and training plans on top of the usual working stats. Along with that you also get 6 months of free premium Spotify subscription.
