The post Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Lost Some Quick Toggles — No Official Fix Available appeared first on Samsung Rumors.
Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6 has been one of the most anticipated smartphone of the year 2015.
It has enjoyed great appreciation from the smartphone critics around the world. However, a lot of problems are still being reported by the users on the software end.
One of the most common issues is the disappearance of some quick toggles, which trigger mobile data, hotspot, and private mode.
This issue occurs in the both variants of the Galaxy S6. The reason to this is still unknown, and no permanent solution is available officially, as of yet.
Samsung has registered numerous complaints regarding this issue through their customer support.
Lately, Samsung has announced that they are working on a fix through some of their regional twitter accounts.
A temporary solution to this problem, provided by one of the regional twitter account is also available.
According to this regional twitter account, users are suggested to back up all of their important data and perform a factory reset.
This is a temporary fix to this problem; however, it would be a great inconvenience to perform factory resets, every now and then to get the toggles back.
Moreover, they also announced that their team is working on the issue and it will be resolved as soon as possible.
As we discussed earlier that no official fix to this problem is available as of yet, an unofficial fix has been released over at XDA forums. An XDA poster has released modified APK files.
Installing these APK files seems to fix the problem. Moreover, this fix does not require root, like most of the unofficial solutions, so it can work on your device, easily.
However, the use of this fix is not recommended, as, you never know what side effects it can cause. This fix can be found here for Data Toggle, here for Wi-Fi hotspot, and here for Private Mode.
