The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge have received widespread acclaim from fans across the globe. The demand for the smartphone is such that the manufacturer is said to be producing more units to keep up with retailer and carrier estimates.
So it won’t exactly be far fetched to say that the demand for the company’s new set of flagships are far greater than what we saw with the Galaxy S5 last year.
That’s exactly what a new Korean report suggests as the pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge are double the amount of the Galaxy S5 last year, at least in the U.S.
It is being estimated that the company will ship a total of 55 million units of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge this year, with the former accounting for a bulk of the sales. It will be interesting to see if Samsung will be able to keep the demand in check after the phone is available for purchase.
