Samsung is launching yet another version of its flagship. It is being called as the Galaxy S7 Asiana. There isn’t much to get excited about the device except for the fact that it comes in a pink gold colour and aimed at customers of the Asiana airlines, the second biggest player in Asian airlines industry.
This special version of the phone has the exact same specs of the regular Galaxy S7 but comes with loads of software goodies. It is Knox enabled for tight security and is designed for better in-flight usage.
There is also a custom boot screen animation with Asiana airline theme and comes pre-loaded with apps that allow the user to book tickets with the airline and view their flight status. Samsung is also offering huge discounts for anyone with 50,000 mileage points that can be gathered by travelling on an Asiana flight. The discounted price is being offered through the airline’s official website.
Samsung is also throwing in a few of its own goodies. You will get a 32 GB microSD card as well as a wireless fast charger if you buy the device. the carrier partner is SK telecom.
“We will continue to offer [the S7 to] both regular consumers and, through our Knox solution, our enterprise clients as well,” a Samsung spokesman said.
This isn’t the only version that Samsung has planned. The leaks have pointed out that we will soon see the active variant of the Galaxy S7 and also there is the upcoming Rio Olympic version to honour the Olympic games.
Galaxy S7 Asiana is available exclusively in south Korea.
