If you’re in the market for a new Android phone, you have plenty of incredible options to choose from. Among the best are the Galaxy S7 Edge and HTC 10, two of the market’s premier flagships. But if you had to pick just one, which would you choose? We’re to help you settle the matter.
Let’s just get a few things out of the way. Our personal preferences won’t necessarily match yours; let’s just acknowledge up front. One person might find the Galaxy S7 Edge design gimmicky; someone else might consider it to be the best out there. The second thing is that specs have reached such an inflection point that they’re hardly worth noting anymore (except maybe camera and battery).
That being said, there are plenty of things that set these two phones apart. For one, their designs are completely different, with the HTC 10 going with an all-aluminum build over the Galaxy S7’s affinity of glass. Meanwhile, the software between these two phones take a different approach to design and features; it’s just a matter of finding which one works for you.
What people will pay attention to more closely is how battery holds up, and which camera is better. I can tell you right now that nothing on the market beats the speed, quality, and feature set of the Galaxy S7’s camera. But even then, you might prioritize the HTC 10’s front-facing 5-megapixel shooter with OIS, which is great for selfies and Snapchat addicts.
