It has been a very long time since Samsung made a smartphone powered by Microsoft’s operating system. The company hasn’t said if it has any plans of doing so, at least at this point in time, and even Microsoft appears to be focusing on other things. So if images surface online of a Galaxy S8 claimed to be running Windows 10 Mobile you take them with a heavy dose of salt.
Only one glance is enough to ascertain that these images are of very poor quality and it’s not that difficult to fake such images. All you need to do is take a screenshot of a Windows 10 Mobile-powered phone and make it fit on the Galaxy S8’s display.
The three images show a homescreen with live tiles, a Windows Store page, and the settings menu. As previously mentioned, it’s not that difficult to fake all of this.
It is highly unlikely that Samsung is going to release a variant of the Galaxy S8 running Windows 10 Mobile. There have been no rumors to support the theory as yet and it would absolutely make no sense for Samsung to do something like this.
So there’s no reason to believe this, chalk it up as one of the many things that some people would want to happen but what will probably never happen.
