Created by developer Adam Bell, Stride is a new jailbreak tweak that brings gesture-based lock screen to iPhone and iPod Touch. No more entering lengthy passwords or having to use ‘slide to unlock’ bar as Stride for iOS makes the experience of unlocking your iOS device a whole lot easier. You can unlock your jailbroken iPhone with a pre-set gesture which looks real cool.Stride for iOS Features
It enables you to passcode protect your iDevice without having to use the old passcode.
It also helps you to set up an on screen gesture instead of numbers or letters for the purpose.
So that’s all there is to this gesture-based lock screen to iPod Touch and iPhone. Just draw your password and get on with it.
How does Stride function?
Stride has a very elegant looking interface and a cool 8-bit area to swipe your finger on. And as sleek as it looks, Stride is also very efficient in functioning.
As soon as it’s installed you can quite easily configure in Settings.
You need to simply enable it and then leave Skip PIN Entry on.
After that you can go for Change Password and create your own unlock gesture.
See! How very simple it is! Now even if you make it a bit complex you don’t actually need to enter it like you always do to get past your iPhone’s lock screen.
But you need to ensure that you create an iOS passcode for your iPhone before using the tweak and having done that it would next to impossible for anybody to enter the device without permission.
Stride is available on the BigBoss repository via Cydia installer for just $2.99 and is compatible with iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or above.
