Have you ever wanted to take a picture with your iPhone or iPad but didn’t want to be obvious about it? Whatever your need for being sneaky, RHP Multimedia has a Kickstarter project in the works for a new iDevice case that allows you to take pictures without even lifting your iPhone 4/4S or iPad 2 off the desk.
The MirrorCase is a combination stand/case that places your iPhone or iPad at a comfortable angle for typing or other desktop use. But it’s unique in that it contains a mirror to reflect your camera’s shot angle away from the desk and out behind the case itself. Those poorly dressed folks at Panera will think you’re just working on your thesis or latest protest letter when you’re actually getting ready to upload them to YouTube.
I’ll let RHP Multimedia explain it better:
Snapping candid pictures and video, or recording at a moment’s notice has never been this easy. The Mirror Case™ for iPhone 4/4S and iPad 2 raises the bar on Apple’s back mounted camera by capturing images and video from the elevated case. The MirrorCase reflects your shot back to the camera from a stationary position so there is no juggling your iPhone 4/4S or iPad 2. Pair MirrorCase with the MirrorCase App™ and discover the variety of options available for recording your moment.
If you’re not the type to film people when you shouldn’t be filming people, the Mirror Case still makes sense for photo and video use. Instead of placing your iPhone or iPad in front of your face to get your shot, blocking the subject (and you from them), you can hold your iPhone or iPad parallel to the ground, giving you full view of what’s in front of you.
The MirrorCase Kickstarter project offers pledge incentives at anywhere from $1 to $10,000, and they need to raise $25,000 by may 28th to fund the project.
And hey, it even serves as a flashlight in case you need to be really sneaky!
