Do you own a HTC One M9? Do you belong to Europe, Middle East or the Africas region? Well then you should shortly expect an update on your smartphone with some minor bug fixing patches and other tweaks on board. The update is said to be changing the software version to 1.40.401.5 and sticks with Android 5.0.2.
Here are some of the features mentioned in the update changelog:
Greater auto-exposure balance to improve overexposure, so images look less washed out
-Reduction of noise and blur in low light, so images are clearer and detail is more apparent
-Reduction of yellow/green hue to photos taken in extreme lighting conditions, so colors appear truer to their actual hue
-Reduced power consumption by YouTube and Facebook, so you can stay on these sites longer or know that your battery will last longer if your site use doesn’t change
-Smart charging thermal improvement, which means your phone will stay cooler when it’s being charged.
The update is said to have been rolled out in Taiwan some weeks ago, so other markets in the aforementioned regions shouldn’t be far off from getting the new update. American carrier variants of the smartphone should get an update subsequently.
