When Apple debuted the Apple Watch alongside its newest iPhone models this fall, it said that the wrist adorned gadget would start at $349 and would come in various models, but did not give pricing information for other configurations. Now, according to a report, the stainless steel edition could cost $500 and will be available in polished steel or black while the premium gold Apple Watch Edition could cost as much as $5,000 at launch.
Apple Watch Stainless Steel (polished or black sidereal) would be proposed at $ 500. The Edition model in yellow or pink gold would be sold between $ 4,000 and $ 5,000. No part of the package of Watch (excluding strap) can be easily removed to replace the battery or another component.
In the past, we've heard rumors that the Apple Watch Edition could cost around the $10,000 mark. The latest number being thrown around would be half of what was previously anticipated for the solid gold smartwatch.
The pricing report comes by way of French site iGen.fr, which states that the device could launch by Valentine's Day. Apple has so far not given an exact launch date aside from saying that the device will be available in early 2015, though a leaked memo from retail head Angela Ahrendts stated a spring time frame.
