We have gone back and forth with the whole Google Edition HTC One, and even though users were begging for it, they began to think twice about it when they realized certain features would be sacrificed. The HTC “Nexus” is finally coming around again, but would it be worth sacrificing the innovations HTC gave us?
Vice President of Android Product Management at Google, Hugo Barra, was being interviewed by The Verge, and he pulled out the beautiful GE HTC One. When playing with that lovely stock Android, questions arose about those silly sacrificed HTC features. Huge replied with, that Beats will still work because it is always on. There will be no turning it off in the menu bar anymore, which begs the question; who would anyone turn it off? When it comes to that 4 MP Ultrapixel camera, he replied with, ”it will do what it does,” meaning they will tweak it to the stock camera and maybe hope for the best.
I am still excited about the GE HTC One, just because I have been wanting an HTC Nexus, and this is as close as we might get. Let us know what you guys think.
