A bug in Google Now (and Google Translate) spits out some fairly amusing dialog if you ask it ‘what is a Giraffe’. It appears to be a glitch having to do with ending an open-ended phrase in ‘with’ in either translation or input, because you can ask it ‘filled with‘ and get similar results in Google Translate. The issue popped up in an entry on Google Code and made its way to Hacker News. I made a little video so you can hear it for yourself:
As the commenters on the GC thread point out, the source is most likely this article, which may have been used to train the parsing of the voice-recognition system backing these products. Either way, ha ha.
