Ever thought what the soundtrack to your life might be? How about your next trip? Get thinking on the former, but the latter is now all worked out for you. Google Play Music (Android, iOS) has partnered with TripAdvisor (Android, iOS) to put specific travel-focused stations and soundtracks inside the TripAdvisor Android app for users browsing their next target destinations.
The suggested stations show up when you're viewing various pages for different cities around the globe, there's a different curated list for each city - some cities even have several lists for you to enjoy. Just wait for the magically appearing music widget and tap play to start feeling the music, either when you're simply planning a trip, as well as when you're actually traveling.
And if you've never used Google Play before, there's an extra surprise - you'll get two months of the premium service for free for tapping play. So that's the music for your entire summer sorted.
In a blog post, Brandon Bilinski, product manager for Google Play Music, said: "Wherever you go, or whenever you start planning your next vacation, TripAdvisor and Google Play Music have your ultimate holiday soundtrack sorted. Travelers can listen to Cafe Italiano while sipping an espresso in Rome, rave to the Underground Club Sounds of Berlin and dance to Sao Paulo Funk."
The connection to travel may be slightly dubious here, but Play Music's mood-based stations remain one of the service's best features. What better way to capture users than when they're in a great holiday mood? Enjoy getting your groove on, travelers!
