Just under two weeks ago, we came across Google’s plans to start showing the value of in-app purchases within app listings on the Play Store. This change has finally taken effect on the web and mobile versions of the Play Store, giving users a better idea of what to expect as far as in-app purchases are concerned. The listings don’t provide a complete breakdown of the in-app purchases though, but merely tells users the minimum and maximum amount they can spend on purchasing content within the app.
It is hoped that Google will start listing the prices of individual items associated with the game or app as providing a general range of the purchases could potentially demotivate customers from purchasing the app. Until then, the change doesn’t really make things any better than they were before.
The range of in-app purchases can be found at the bottom of the app description, while apps which do not offer in-app purchases will have that particular portion missing. The changes should be visible on the Play Store right now, so make sure you have a look.
