Staying true to its desire to be known as an iOS company and not just the driving force behind Android, Google continues to expand its iOS app portfolio with new releases and updates. This month alone, the tech giant has updated no fewerthan adozen ofits iOS apps. And to that number it has just added its latest update to Google+ for iOS.
The latest update to the official iOS app of Googles social networking site adds support for the apps very own share extension in iOS 8. As expected, if duly enabled, this extension lets you share content to Google+ directly from other iOS apps that support iOS 8s systemwide share sheet.
The new version of Google+ for iOS also lets you vote on polls from people and brands. Apparently, this new feature comes as a result of Googles acquisition of the popular visual polling app Polar in September.
As usual, Google+ has also been updated with performance improvements and bug fixes.
Last but certainly not least, though, the new Google+ update brings full resolution support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Prior to this update, Google+ received its last major update in June. That update introduced a new Stories feature for automatically combining photos, videos, and locations into trip summaries, and a revamped photo editor including new filters and tools.
