Halo 5: Guardians is going to get a new content browser for the Forge editor, 343 Industries has confirmed. The content browser for the Forge editor was unveiled at the Halo panel at the RTX gaming convention which took place over the weekend in Austin, Texas. A screenshot of the content browser was also shared through the official Halo Twitter account, with the explanation that it “takes finding and sharing incredible community creations to the next level.”
The content browser will enable Forge creators on Windows 10 and Xbox One to easily share content such as custom game modes and maps with other players.
Plans have already been announced to release a free version of Halo 5 Forge editor for PC players running Windows 10, it will be released through the Windows Store.
This will also enable PC players to take part in Halo 5 multiplayer games even though there won’t be any matchmaking features available.
Players will have to wait for this to arrive, even though the Forge editor has been confirmed, it’s going to be released for Windows 10 with the new content browser later this year in the fall. It will also be brought over to the Xbox One as a free upgrade during the same time.
