A leak coming from an anonymous source has confirmed the hardware of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 smartphone. This appears to be in sync with what we’ve heard in the past before, so this could be the real deal. The image shows the device to be packing a 6 inch 720p display, a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, an 8-megapixel camera on the back along with a 2.1-megapixel front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,800 mAh battery.
The image also reveals that the device comes with VoLTE support, which is a rather unexpected feature on a midrange offering. There appears to be some uncertainty over the RAM capacity of the smartphone which is shown here to be 1.5GB while a certification database revealed it was 2GB, so we still need some clarification on that.
It’s still not certain if Samsung will have two variants of the Galaxy Mega like last year or stick to just one model. But considering that we have only come across this 6 inch variant of the Galaxy Mega, there probably won’t be another variant.
