Thailands National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission is getting a little ahead of itself. That countrys version of the FCC has approved two unreleased iPhones, model numbers A1524 and A1586, for sale in the country.
Interestingly, the NBTC couldnt reveal anything more about the two new iPhone models saying it was a company secret of Apple’s
Those two new models could mean a few things. Most interestingly, they could be for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch version of Apples next-generation iPhone. They could also refer to two versions of just the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.
Thailands approval of both devices could mean Apple is planning a major initial rollout of its next-generation handset. Last year, the iPhone 5s didnt go on sale in the country until late October as part of the second wave of launches.
Earlier today, another report said the next-generation iPhone was nearing mass production status. Apple is expected to unveil both versions of the iPhone at a media event on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Recent speculation saysthat the smaller iPhone will hit the market almost immediately and the 5.5-inch version will arrive around a month after that.
