This is a cute Halloween game, created by Kid Games. Obviously, it’s a simple connect-the-dots game, and the goal is to uncover a Halloween picture. I can tell you that my son has played it a few times, and he loves the game. While I watched him play, I noticed some things that instantly turned me against the game.
My first complaint is that it doesn’t fit to some screens, which makes it hard for anyone who has bigger hands than a 6 year old to play. It was designed to help kids with their numbers, which is awesome if the game also said the numbers. After a few minutes of playing, it stops telling your little ones which number they are pressing. It does help the kids learn their numbers by lighting up the next corresponding number, but in my opinion it lights up too quickly. I was trying to make my son think about what came next, and before I got halfway through my question, it lit up.
Another downfall of this app is that it took many tries to get the screen to respond with what we were trying to do. It was slow to respond or unresponsive. Even though this is a great idea, it needs some work. If these minor problems were resolved, I would give Connect the Dots Halloween a thumbs-up, as it is a cute game.
The app is free from the Market, so download it for yourself, and see if your little one enjoys playing it!
