When we first heard of the LG V10’s secondary ticker display, we thought it’d be little more than a glorified quick apps launcher and notification bar. Thankfully, that’s not the case — it’s so much more.
LG is giving us a closer look at the features made possible thanks to the secondary display. One of the things you can do with it is quickly enabling memo tools in any app. A shortcut for the mode sits on the ticker display, and as you press it you can write or draw on top of whatever app you’re using. Pretty neat stuff there. In the camera app, it can be used to control zoom or quickly switch between different shooting modes.
It’s nothing that you can’t already do with button shortcuts or gestures on any ordinary Android phone, but the secondary display makes it that much more easy and natural. LG also highlighted the LG V10’s hi-fidelity audio experience, their class-leading camera controls and more. Take a look above if you’re curious about what it has to offer ahead of its arrival.
