Weather conditions are a major part of life. Whether people live in high-risk areas for severe weather conditions, or people are trying to plan vacations, it’s important to know weather conditions. Smartphones and digital devices have made it easier for people to receive better and quicker weather updates. Weather Underground has produced a new Storm app to give users fast, quick and up-to-date information on incoming weather. Storm has been specifically designed to provide users with real-time severe weather alerts. With the Storm app, people have a handy tool to check for severe weather conditions in a given area.
Storm features many useful features for detecting weather, including a high definition radar, advanced storm cell tracking and real-time severe weather alerts. With this app, users can check out daily or hourly weather forecasts and also view current weather conditions. One of the most intuitive tools provided by the app is an interactive map that features high-resolution radar with interactive animations, which provides past and future data. Additionally, the app provides worldwide, global radar, an experimental radar layer that gives users worldwide weather coverage. People who use the app can utilize the Storm Tracks feature, which is one of the most useful items. Storm Tracks provides great updates on severe weather conditions by using severe weather algorithms to give elaborate updates on impending storms. The storm is rated on strength, its detailed components, speed, direction and precipitation rate. The Storm Tracks feature allows users to get a leg up on severe storms and hazardous weather in the strongest possible way. What makes the app even sweeter is that its detection features include Lightning. The Lightning feature views lightning 100 miles across a selected location in the Continental United States. The customizable screen map has extra data layers that measure earthquakes, cold fronts and more. Storm’s app features hyper-local weather data that’s enabled by a network of over 200,000 personal weather stations, so people can receive, fast, up-to-date weather alerts. Users can customize their alerts and widgets for the app how they see fit, along with getting in-app alerts from the NOAA, Environment Canada, and MeteoAlarm
Weather Underground’s Storm app is available now for the Android, and it’s free-to-download. The app is just a click away at the Google Play Store.
