I love my iPad 2, but it’s getting a bit long in the tooth as
tablet computers go, and I’ve been holding out for the fifth-generation release before making a move to upgrade.
However, based on a fairly broad consensus of rumor, speculation, and purported insider leaks, I think I likely have a fairly good idea of what’s coming with the iPad on Tuesday. And while what’s
expected will be a solid and substantial refreshment of the iPad’s specifications, it doesn’t sound at this point that it will be truly exciting.
If the iPad rumors are on track, the fifth-generation iPad will come with a
smaller footprint and lower weight thanks to adopting an iPad mini-like thin-bezel case design, will have the same 9.7-inch Retina display as its third and fourth generation predecessors, will be
