If you take a photo with your iPhone or iPad and feel like the composition is great but that the colors and tones could be a little better, the Photos app comes with a few handy tools to help. iOS 8 promises a lot more control, but even with iOS 7, If you either aren't familiar with photo editing or just aren't sure where to start, the auto-enhance feature is a great place to start!
How to enahance pics with the Photos app for iPhone and iPad
Launch the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad.
Find the photo you'd like to enhance and tap on it to open it.
Tap on Edit in the upper right hand corner.
Tap on the Auto-Enhance button in the bottom navigation — it looks like a magic wand.
You can toggle between Auto-Enhance by tapping on it again. This gives you a good idea of before and after.
If you like the improvements the Auto-Enhance feature made, tap on Save in the upper right hand corner.
Tap on Save to Camera Roll in order to confirm that you'd like to save another copy.
That's it, just visit your Camera Roll to view and share the new version.
When you use Auto-Enhance in the Photos app, your old photo will never be written over or lost. This way you can always go back to it if you want to make other edits or decide that you ultimately didn't think Auto-Enhance did a very good job. If that's the case, you can try editing apps from the App Store to make the image even better. Below you can find a link to our favorites!
