For those of you new to the HTC Evo 3D, once you’ve rooted your Evo 3D, you will want to backup your newly rooted ROM if you are thinking about doing things like adding a new overclocked kernel or install new ROMs. Why? You want to create a restore point, sorta like Windows 7 system restoration feature, so you always can go back to a ROM that’s working stable. Also, this is a great way to have 4 or 5 ROMs on your phone and switch ROMs on the go. It’s pretty is to do, just go into ClockworkMod Recovery by taking your battery out then holding down Volume Down and Power button or you can also get into it using the free ROM Manager app. Once in ClockworkMod Recovery, you can use the backup and restore feature to backup and restore your ROMs. This will backup all your apps, contacts, settings, the ROM, and the kernel.
