Here’s the fix if this happens to you: use the alternate app store called Aptoide to update Google Play Services to the latest version. Then, open the Google Play app so you can sign in. This is where you’ll run into an error while logging in — when this happens, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
This gives you the option to log in through your browser instead of the Google Play app, which should let you sign in just fine! Now, you’ll be logged into the Play Store and ready to go, fully ready to take advantage of all it has to offer to your Kindle Fire. If you want to remove Aptoide after you’ve successfully signed in, go ahead and do so.
